This describes what GresTrace (grestrace.com), operated by [your legal business name] of [registered business address], United Kingdom, does and doesn't do with your data. We built GresTrace to handle as little of your data as possible. Most of the tool runs entirely in your browser.
| Tier | Where it's processed |
|---|---|
| Free (visualization) | Entirely in your browser. Nothing about your pasted plan is sent anywhere. |
| Pro (suggested fixes) | Sent to our server to run the fix rules. Before it leaves your browser, we strip out filter values (the literal data in your WHERE clauses, e.g. an email address or ID) and replace them with placeholders. Column names, table names, row counts, and buffer/timing figures are sent as-is, since the rules need them. |
We do not store the plans you paste, in either tier. The Pro request is used to compute your fixes and the response is returned; the plan content itself is not written to a database.
Checkout is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe shares with us only what's needed to confirm your payment and issue your unlock (e.g. a checkout session ID and payment status).
After payment, we issue a signed unlock token. It's stored in your browser's localStorage. We don't maintain a persistent account database. Server-side, we keep a short-lived, in-memory mapping from your Stripe checkout session to your token so a page refresh doesn't lose it; this is not a durable record of your purchase beyond what Stripe itself retains.
Our hosting provider (Railway) generates standard web server logs (IP address, timestamp, requested path) for operating and securing the service, for example to spot abuse. We don't use these logs for tracking or advertising.
GresTrace does not currently use cookies or any analytics/tracking script. If that changes, we'll update this policy and this section first.
Because we don't hold an account or profile on you, there's very little personal data for us to hold beyond what Stripe processes on our behalf. For anything we do hold (e.g. correspondence with our support address), you can ask us to access, correct, or delete it by emailing henryonilude@hotmail.co.uk.
If we change what we collect (for example, if we add product analytics) we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
